Lion Roars In Front of Me!

Lion Roars In Front of Me!

I captured this lion (Panthera leo) roaring a couple of ft away from me on the San Diego Zoo! Startling, resonating and but lovely. A lion’s roar may be heard as far-off as 3 miles.
A a lot bigger model, the American lion, lived in Southern California 12,000 years in the past! Skeletons of American lions have been recovered from the La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles, California. I like to recommend placing this in your to-do-list.
These majestic creatures can stay as much as 30yrs in captivity (half that point in wild). Did : not all male lions have a big mane. Geographical areas which are hotter than others produce smaller maned lions to stop overheating.

Awareness: There are solely 4 Northern White Rhinos on Earth, making them probably the most critically endangered species. This magnificent creature will vanish earlier than our eyes…
